Class Teacher

Required for September 2019

The Governors of the Federation of St Joseph’s Catholic Junior, Infant & Nursery Schools wish to recruit a teacher who will join our highly motivated and friendly team. We are looking for a passionate and committed teacher, who can inspire, engage and motivate students to reach their full potential. You will need to be enthusiastic and committed to offering an outstanding teaching experience for the children and an engaging curriculum to promote high standards. There is the opportunity to make a noticeable impact on student attainment and achievement through your fresh ideas, motivational skills and keen focus on improvement.

The position would suit either an experienced teacher, or an NQT who will benefit from a personalised induction, support and ongoing professional development. We welcome new ideas and creativity and a willingness to grow as a teacher. We are fortunate to have extensive school grounds and a thriving Forest School, which provides pupils in all key stages with opportunities for outdoor and creative learning.

The successful candidate will:
• Be committed to promoting the Catholic ethos of the school
• Be an excellent practitioner or have the potential to become one
• Have high expectations of all children and be able to inspire and motivate
• Be able to work collaboratively as a member of a team
• Be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school

We can offer you:
• Effective professional development opportunities, including a NQT mentor programme
• PPA time with year group colleagues, covered by sports and music teachers
• Shared cohort planning
• Support to accelerate your career to middle and senior leadership
• A vibrant school with high standards and expectations
• Children who are happy, responsive and eager to learn

We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of our children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Offers of employment are subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure and other employment checks. The school is also committed to equality and diversity in employment practice and service delivery.

Visits to the school are welcomed and encouraged.
