St George and St Teresa School is a one-form entry Catholic primary school serving the parishes of St George and St Teresa in Bentley Heath and Blessed Robert Grissold in Balsall Common.

Our long-serving, dedicated and successful Headteacher is retiring. The Governors are seeking to appoint a new Headteacher who is passionate about primary education within the context of the Catholic Church. Our new Headteacher will have the vision and drive to continue to move our school forward, supported by the ambitious team of governors, to deliver excellent outcomes for all the children we teach and to take our school in new and exciting directions.

As the leader of our school, you will inspire, encourage and coach our dedicated team of teachers and support staff to achieve the best they can with and for our children.

We are also seeking a committed and energetic person who will:
• Ensure a consistent and continuous school-wide focus on pupils’ achievement, with learning at the centre of strategic vision, resource management and financial planning
• Promote excellence, inclusion and high expectations
• Encourage innovation and growth within the school so that children achieve their full potential
• Maintain the existing Outstanding Catholic ethos that exists within our school
• Have a proven track record of raising standards, improving Teaching and Learning, and leading and implementing whole school initiatives
• Have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and a strong personal work ethic
• Appreciate the role of the school in the wider community and bring a broader perspective to the strategic development and continuous improvement of the school

We want each child to make the best progress that they can whilst they are in our inclusive and forward-thinking school to develop their inner belief and self-confidence, rooted in our Catholic faith, so that they are well-equipped for the next stage of their life journey.
