St Mary Magdalene,

Executive Head Teacher

L18 - 24* £60,755 - £69,673
September 2019

St Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School and St Mary Magdalene Catholic Primary School are in the diocese of Arundel and Brighton and they seek to appoint an Executive Head Teacher across both schools for September 2019. Applicants must be practising Catholics committed to the ethos and development of Catholic education in a vibrant Catholic community.

As an exceptional senior leader, you understand and already provide outstanding education in your current school —but can you deliver as an Executive Head Teacher and move us forward creatively with the new chapter ahead?

St Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School and St Mary Magdalene Catholic Primary School have been working in partnership since September 2018. Both schools have a commitment to travel together with an Executive Head Teacher towards joining the Bosco Catholic Education Trust in the near future.

As our Executive Head Teacher, your task is to develop the benefits and opportunities of the partnership and lead our dedicated staff and our parents through this period of change. As a ‘hands on’ Executive Head Teacher you will lead from the front with high expectations of what our children can achieve and a clear understanding of the ‘added value’ that you will bring to the partnership.

St Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School and St Mary Magdalene Catholic Primary School are one-form-entry schools with a combined NOR 420. The schools are situated approximately 4 miles apart in St Leonards and Bexhill respectively. This is a wonderful, healthy, coastal environment in which to live – with the surrounding historic 1066 countryside providing a backdrop.

We warmly welcome visits to both schools from prospective candidates. Please contact Laura Neal on (01424) 735810 who will make the arrangements or email her at
