Following the promotion of our SENCo the Governing Body is seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and skilled SENCo who will work part time (3 days a week, 0.6 FTE) alongside the headship team, staff, children and parents, governors and Local Authority at our happy and successful school.

The successful candidate will:
• Put our children and their wellbeing and learning first
• Have clear understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and the changes that have been made. 
• Be a skilled and experienced teacher with outstanding teaching. 
• Have high expectations for pupils learning and set aspirational targets for SEND achievement. 
• Effectively implement and manage Education Health Care Plans/Statements. 
• Manage the school's provision for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and Provision Mapping. 
• Have an understanding of pupil tracking systems and how this can be used to enhance provision
• Have an understanding and experience of supporting the learning of pupils with the full range of abilities and needs and a strong track record in making an impact on their progress. 
• Have excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills. 
• Be committed to safeguarding, promoting the welfare of children and promoting equal opportunities for all.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND support and interventions
