The Governors of St Mary’s RCVA Primary School invite applications from practising and committed Roman Catholic teachers for the post of Headteacher.

St Mary’s is an ‘Outstanding’* school described as ‘a very peaceful, caring community. Pupils of different ages play and work very happily together and are proud of their school’ (Ofsted October 2012).

The successful candidate will be highly motivated with appropriate teaching and management experience in the primary sector. They will have leadership and organisational skills, being capable of promoting a high level of teamwork amongst staff, governors and parents, with a clear focus on pupils’ achievement and both spiritual and personal development. There is a strong sense of community and Catholic ethos amongst all those involved with the school.

Applicants will need to provide leadership of a high quality in the academic, pastoral and management fields and be able to show evidence of the successful implementation of change.
