Required 1 January 2019. Following the career advancement of the current headteacher, an exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint her successor at this ambitious School of Sanctuary in Lancaster. The Governors wish to appoint an inspirational, ambitious and strategic leader who can build on the many strengths of the school and work in partnership with the governors to progress the school’s journey to Outstanding.

• is a practising Catholic with strong, lived faith, deep commitment to catholic education, who fully supports the Catholic identity and has a desire to live out and share the faith through work
• values all children as individuals and ensures that all children are confident and able to achieve their full potential
• knows about the principles of developing outstanding learning, teaching and assessment for all pupils

• have the vision, passion and motivation to respond to changes in primary education, can continually raise standards and expectations in our school and share the vision and achievements - be proud
• can maintain a culture of excellence among staff and pupils alike
• is a leader and innovator who encourages, enthuses and motivates the school community through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• cares for teachers and children equally
• has good ideas for our school
• makes everyone happy and comfortable
• listens to the children does not shout but is a strong leader, strict but is fair, kind, loving, fun and helpful
• supports and leads our ideas and ambitions for learning through play and help us develop our outdoor play ideas
• develops and leads our ideas and ambitions for PE equipment and support sport in our school
