An exciting opportunity has arisen at St William’s Catholic Primary School and the governors are seeking to appoint a practising Catholic with a clear vision of Catholic education to the post of deputy headteacher. You will be working with the support of a team of experienced school leaders across the Bradford Catholic Schools Teaching School Alliance who will help you develop your leadership skills whilst supporting the professional and spiritual leadership of the school with determination to provide the best for every child in our care.

Are you ready for the challenge? You will need to be an excellent teacher with the necessary drive and vision who can use your leadership skills to work with school leaders and governors during the next stage of the school’s development as we move along our journey to becoming a good school. We need someone who can inspire, support and lead in partnership with our pupils, staff, parents and governors. You need to have high expectations and aspirations so that all our pupils make good progress and are able to achieve to the best of their abilities during their time at St William’s.

We are a friendly and welcoming one form entry school in the heart of West Bradford, serving the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes and St William. As a community, we use the values of the Gospels to provide a loving, caring and safe environment for all children to learn and reach their full potential. Our community is diverse and St William’s is a school where pupils of all faiths, or none, feel safe and can experience the love of Christ each day.

This is an exciting time for St William’s as we are also in the process of joining the Blessed Christopher Wharton Catholic Academy Trust. This will allow our school to make the most of opportunities for joint provision of services within a wide-ranging family of schools and to develop exciting new approaches to enable us to offer the very best for all our children, staff and families.
