Deputy Headteacher (L7-L11)

Due to the successful appointment to the Headteacher post, the Governing Body of St Joseph’s Catholic Primary school is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated Deputy Headteacher. The successful candidate will work effectively with the Headteacher to lead this popular one-form entry Catholic school on the next stage of its journey. This post will be class-based for 0.5 weekly.

We are seeking a candidate who:
• Is a practising Catholic who will contribute to the Catholic ethos of the school
• Can work in partnership with the Headteacher in moving the school forward
• Is highly motivated and able to demonstrate leadership skills and experience of successfully leading aspects of whole school improvement
• Has a clear knowledge and commitment to safeguarding practices
• Has strong management and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, lead, mentor and support colleagues
• Can model teaching skills within the school, lead on improving teaching where needed and directly impact on pupil outcomes
