The children, staff and Governors of Saint Patrick’s Catholic Voluntary Academy, wish to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic, inspirational and committed Deputy Headteacher with a strong personal faith and a clear vision of Catholic Education.

Saint Patrick’s is a unique learning environment for children and adults. We celebrate a global vision and welcome all communities from across the world. There are 26 languages spoken and the life of the school is an example of faith, spirituality, dignity and tolerance.

We are offering the opportunity to work alongside our newly appointed Headteacher to ensure we provide a unique pathway for learning for all.

The Deputy Headteacher will play a major role under the overall direction of the Headteacher in:
• formulating the aims and objectives of the school;
• establishing the policies through which they are to be achieved;
• managing staff and resources to that end; and
• motitoring progress towards their achievement.

We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who:
• is a practising Catholic;
• is a team player who will work as part of a strong leadership team;
• can identify, lead and drive school improvement.

We can offer you:
• a non-teaching commitment for the initial 12 months;
• CPD, including preparation for headship;
• an outstanding learning environment;
• the ability to make a difference;
• a lovely school to teach in, very different to surrounding schools;
• quality liturgies and assemblies;
• a welcoming community of children we serve;
• friendly and supportive staff;
• a commitment to staff health and wellbeing;
• close proximity to the M1 and Meadowhall Retail Park;
• A school where ‘the best teachers teach from the heart, not from a book’.
