The Governing Body of St. Patrick’s School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated practising Catholic Headteacher who will continue to build on our existing success and take the school from good to outstanding. This post will be attractive to an experienced, successful headteacher as well as aspiring leaders who are at an earlier stage in their careers.

Our most recent Ofsted report (February 2018) stated: “The headteacher has ensured that all staff and pupils now aim to achieve high standards. All governors and staff share the same high aspirations and the school is well placed to continue to improve. Leaders and staff know the school inside out and select wisely where to focus their efforts to improve the school. Pupils behave well around school and are polite and well mannered. They work hard and concentrate well in class and this helps them to make good progress.”

The successful headteacher will:
• Be a practising Catholic committed to promoting the Catholic Life of the School.
• Have the vision and leadership to motivate, challenge and inspire our school in the next stage of its development on its journey to outstanding.
• Demonstrate a commitment to collaborative leadership and further develop strong relationships.
• Be able to inspire and work in partnership with pupils, staff, parents, governors and other schools.
• Be committed to providing a rich and exciting curriculum which meets the learning needs of all children.
• Be well organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

In return we can offer you:
• A successful, happy and welcoming school community with a positive and caring Catholic ethos.
• Supportive parents who are proud of the achievements of their children.
• Children who are polite, well behaved and eager to learn.
• A welcoming and energetic staff team who are committed to achieving high standards.
