Permanent KS2 Teacher
Required for September 2018
MPS/UPS with possibility of TLR2 (£2694 pa) for a suitable candidate.

St. Joseph’s is a very exciting school to work at with wonderful pupils, parents and a very welcoming staff team.
“Pupils, staff and parents are proud of their school and the changes that have been introduced to provide a safe and calm place for adults and pupils to work. Pupils have positive attitudes to learning. They are courteous and well mannered.” Ofsted, 2018

We have recently invested heavily in a bespoke outdoor learning environment which is used for high quality teaching and learning. We are also very fortunate to have been able to purchase a Google Chromebook for every child in KS2 with associated high quality learning programmes. These are just some of the projects which are helping to make our school unique and an amazing place to be!

The wellbeing of staff is a priority for leaders and governors. Currently each class teacher is supported by a full time Teaching Assistant, in order to support high quality teaching and learning. Staff are provided with high quality CPD opportunities and a range of wellbeing services. You are encouraged to make an appointment to
look around and meet our wonderful school community or contact the school for an informal conversation with
the head.

The headteacher and governors are committed to supporting the careers of its aspirational staff.
This role could provide a suitable candidate with the opportunity to take their first step into management by becoming a part of our leadership team and leading a key school improvement project.
This can be negotiated based on the strengths of a suitable candidate.

We are looking for someone who:
• Can engage children by planning inspiring learning opportunities;
• Can challenge all learners to achieve their best and become successful independent learners;
• Has a commitment to supporting the Catholic ethos of the school;
• Has very high expectations of what can be achieved by delivering consistently high quality learning opportunities;
• Has enthusiasm, patience, a sense of humour and be able to work well as part of a team.
