The Governors are looking to appoint an inspirational Head of School to work with our Executive Headteacher at St Mary’s Catholic Voluntary Academy, Horsforth. The successful candidate will be a committed practising Catholic with strong leadership experience and an understanding of Catholic education.

St. Mary’s is oversubscribed and highly successful, having strong links with parents and its parish communities.

We are seeking a Head of School who is:
• A practising Catholic with strong leadership experience and a clear vision and understanding of Catholic education.
• An outstanding classroom practitioner with high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour who is committed to providing high quality learning for all children.
• Able to maintain and drive forward outstanding standards whilst maintaining our distinctly Catholic ethos.
• An excellent communicator, able to work inclusively with pupils, staff, parents, Governors and other stakeholders.
• A strategic leader who will lead, motivate and inspire others.

The post would be suitable for either an existing deputy or candidates with extensive leadership and management experience within a leadership team.

As part of the Bishop Wheeler Trust you will be joining a successful and dedicated group of Headteachers who work collaboratively across all our schools within the Diocese of Leeds. Each school is also part of local and Diocesan partnerships.
