Salary: Group 5 school with competitive salary

An outstanding leader and proven educationalist, you will have the vision and ambition to take our school through a period of exciting development. As we consolidate and move forward, this hugely rewarding role will see you inspire our team to achieve the very best - for themselves and for every one of our students.

Welcome to St John Vianney, a Roman Catholic school for pupils aged 5 to 19 with learning difficulties, communication difficulties and those on the Autistic Spectrum. Founded on gospel values, our aim is to engage all in learning through outstanding and creative teaching as we support children and young people on their life journey, wherever that may take them.

You can look forward to excellent support too. Our strong and effective Senior Leadership Team is committed to building on the school’s good reputation, ensuring that we continually strive for outstanding provision and enable each pupil to be the best they can possibly be. Every aspect of your work will be underpinned by that vision – from co-ordinating curriculum development to strategic planning, overseeing the delivery of an exceptional learning experience and upholding the school’s mission and values.

A practising Roman Catholic, you could already be a Head Teacher – or perhaps you are an ambitious Deputy Head who is ready to take your next career step. What is important is that you can bring first-rate leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and enthuse everyone around you to excel. Experience of special needs is not essential, as we have a sound base of expertise here at the school.

All employees are expected to treat children, young people and colleagues with respect and dignity and contribute to the creation of a supportive learning environment.

St John Vianney School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and young people. We expect all staff to share in this commitment.
