The governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated headteacher who is a practising Catholic and who has the drive and enthusiasm to help lead the school to its next stage of development. The starting date for this post is 1st September 2018.

St Paul’s is “a good school” where “Leaders and governors have worked effectively to bring about improvements to the quality of teaching and pupils’ progress” and where “Pupils behave well, show pride in their school and are keen to learn”. (Ofsted May 2016).

St Paul’s is a large, friendly and inclusive school with well behaved children, hard working and dedicated staff, supportive parents and an active and committed governing body.

The governors are looking for a leader:-
• who has a clear vision for the future improvement of our school;
• who is creative and innovative with a passion for teaching and learning and high expectations of children;
• who is an excellent practitioner capable of inspiring, challenging, supporting and empowering others;
• who has excellent leadership, management and interpersonal skills;
• who has the ability to build strong relationships with the children, staff, parents and community;
• who has excellent communication skills;
• who is committed to the development of the wider curriculum and extra-curricular opportunity.

The children are looking for a headteacher who 'needs to be strict but always fair, has a sense of humour and is always kind to the children, a person who is a good listener and somebody who will be proud to lead our school'.

Amalgamation with our partner and neighbouring Infant school, St Paul's and St Timothy's, may be considered in the future, should a suitable opportunity arise.
