HEADTEACHER

Following the retirement of our Headteacher, the Governing Body has appointed an Acting Head Teacher and is now seeking to make a substantive appointment by the Easter 2018. The Governing Body, Staff and children of St. Benedict’s Catholic Primary School are seeking an inspirational leader for our warm, thriving school community.

St. Benedict’s aims to inspire children to achieve their full potential within a nurturing learning environment, which is fully underpinned by the Catholic faith.

We are looking for a practising Catholic with passion, motivation and a strong commitment to lead and further develop the vision for the future of our wonderful school.

Governors are seeking to appoint a Headteacher who:
• Is a practising Catholic with a deep commitment to the vision and ethos of Catholic education and capable of sharing their faith within the whole school community.
• Is committed to and can demonstrate that they can develop the strong partnerships already established with our parents, Parish and community.
• Is a highly dedicated and effective leader with vision, creativity, commitment and passion to inspire the school community and respond effectively to the changes in primary education.
• Will ensure outstanding learning experiences for our children continue so that each individual child maximises their full potential.
• Has a positive attitude, highly effective interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire, empower and lead colleagues and pupils.
• Can continue our culture of excellence amongst staff and children, where our children are at the centre of all we do.
• Has a commitment to lifelong learning and development to create a culture of excellence amongst staff and pupils alike to ensure continual school development.

The children are looking for someone who:
• Practises their faith and will help them to follow Jesus.
• Is inspiring, kind, engaging and caring.
• Will communicate well to them and their families.
